Plucky the duck was hit by a van in Belgium. However when the driver stopped at services on the M1 back in England, it turned out that Plucky had survived the impact and travelled all that way lodged in the van grille.
He has a broken wing, but has been taken to an animal sanctuary and should make a full recovery. Whether he will try to get back to Belgium or take up residence in the UK is not recorded ...
