Finding myself in need of the top E on the fife to play an entire tune in the upper octave, I am once again indebted to The Woodwind Fingering Guide and their excellent three-octave fingering guide for fife and tin whistle.
That's top E as in three ledger lines above the treble stave (and sounding an octave higher than that of course), or a tasty 2,637 Hz.
I should know the 3rd octave fingerings of course. It's 1 2 - | - 2 - by the way.
